Questions

How Fundify works for families and the people who support them.

About Fundify

What is Fundify?

Fundify is a simple way for a child’s close circle (grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends) to give a little each month toward the cost of their sport, and to follow along with scores, photos, videos and thank-yous. It’s run by BEAH Enterprises, Inc.

Is Fundify a fundraiser or a charity?

Neither. It isn’t a public campaign and it isn’t a charity. A page is shared by the parent with a handful of people they know, and gifts go to the family to help with real costs like lessons, gear, entry fees and travel.

When does Fundify launch?

Soon. We’re opening to families by invitation in small groups. Join the waitlist on our home page and we’ll email you when it’s your turn.

For parents

Who can create a page?

A parent or legal guardian who is 18 or older, using the Fundify app for iPhone. At launch, Fundify is invite-only: a parent who already uses it shares their invitation code.

How do I receive the money?

When you set up your page, our payment processor verifies your identity and your bank account. Gifts are then paid out to that account. Fundify never holds the money.

Does my child need an account?

No. Children don’t have accounts. The parent runs the page, decides what’s shared and can take it down at any time.

How is my child’s information protected?

In public your child is shown by first name and last initial, pages are hidden from search engines, and you choose which updates only monthly supporters can see. Full names are only visible to you.

For supporters

How do I give?

Open the link the family shared, choose monthly or one time, pick an amount and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You don’t need to create an account or a password.

Can I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Yes, at any time. Every receipt has a link to manage your gifts; we email you a one-time code to sign in.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

No. Gifts go to a family, not a charity, so they aren’t tax-deductible donations.

Is my card information safe?

Card details go straight to our payment processor over an encrypted connection. Fundify never sees or stores full card numbers.

What if I was charged by mistake?

Gifts are generally final, because they’re passed on to the family. If you were charged by mistake or without your permission, email us within 30 days and we’ll work with you and the payment processor to put it right.

Can other people see what I gave?

No. There’s no public list of supporters or amounts. Only the child’s parent sees who gave and any note you leave.

Fees

What does Fundify cost?

Fundify takes no platform fee from gifts. Card payments carry a processing fee, which is shown before you give; supporters can choose to cover it, otherwise it comes out of the gift.
